Alpha
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- Why did Jesus Die?
- Why and How Do I Pray?
- Christianity; Boring, Untrue, Irrelevant?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
Are you looking for answers to questions like these? You are not alone. Come to the Alpha evenings.
Alpha is an 11 week course for all who are interested in examining these and other questions about Christianity.
We provide a relaxed and informal setting where all are welcome to join in the discussions. Each week you will watch
a video and join a small group for discussion.
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore spirituality from a Christian perspective.
Relaxed, non-threatening. low-key, and fun. Alpha is a place to ask anything - no question is considered too simple or too hostile.
Is Alpha for you? Everyone is welcome on an Alpha course!
Some people want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned
about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church, but feel they have never really
understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come from many different backgrounds and hold many
different viewpoints, but most come with the same basic objective; to establish whether God and Jesus Christ have any real relevance for their lives.
Bring your questions, concerns and a friend and join us for a lively weekly evening.
Also, bring your appetite - we start each Thursday Alpha evening with a dinner at 6:00pm.
For questions or just for more information please email alpha@cpclombard.org or call the office at 630.627.0306.

Once you’ve been through Alpha (even if it was a couple of years ago), we’d love for you to be a part of A Life Worth Living, which is a video series on the book of Philippians. This is the second step in our Alpha evenings, and the series talks about how it is possible to live the Christian life positively, practically and joyfully. As in the Alpha group, there is a video and then a small group discussion each week. |

This is a Bible study led by Stewart Pattison that examines the life of David: Shepherd, giant killer, and King. Bring your Bibles and come prepared to learn about your own spiritual walk with God as we look at David’s. The only homework for this class will be reading the appropriate Bible passages ahead of time.
