Invitation
We were made to be in relationship with the God who created us. Our
need for Him inevitably manifests itself in our lives. And if we seek Him,
God promises that we will find Him.

"Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man
someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own
love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5: 7-8 |
- A personal relationship with God isn't something we can earn;
it's something that God offers us through Jesus Christ.
- People are imperfect and inconsistent.
- God is perfectly, consistently merciful and loving. He is also
holy and just.
- Because we are imperfect and inconsistent (what the Bible
calls sin), we are incapable of developing a personal relationship with
God by what we do.
- Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was executed on a
cross and rose again from the dead.
- By his death and resurrection, Jesus willingly paid the penalty
for the sins of those who trust in Him.
- Jesus Christ is, then, the means by which we begin and
develop a personal relationship with God.
