Rev Dr Stewart Pattison - Senior Pastor
Stewart, our head of staff, came to us in 2003 but has been a pastor since 1988. He grew up in Laguna Beach California before earning degrees from Portland State University in Oregon (B.S.), Fuller Seminary in California (M.Div), Princeton Seminary in New Jersey(Th.M) and Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Massachusetts (D.Min). Stewart misses the surfing, but loves being in the midwest with his wife Bonnie and their three children. Stewart teaches an in depth Bible Study in our ALPHA course, preaches every Sunday and can be found at the Glen Ellyn YMCA on Monday afternoons.

Rev David Hoffmann - Parish Associate
David has served on the staff of Community Presbyterian Church since he graduated with his MDiv from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1993. He served full time as the Associate Pastor for five years, and has served in a part time capacity since 1998. In his role as the Parish Associate, David works primarily with worship and music. He directs the Praise Team and plans the music for our contemporary worship service.

Jeanne Logan - Director of Christian Education
Jeanne was an elementary teacher in the District 45 Villa Park Schools for over 30 years. During that time she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades as well as a self contained Learning Disabilities classroom. She was a Fulbright Teacher Exchange to England in 1989/90 and taught a in a British junior school (3rd grade) for a year. In 1992/93 she taught in an American School in Suriname South America for Wycliffe Bible Translators. She retired from District 45 in June, 2005 and started at CPC as the Director of Christian Ed the following August. |

Kara Zimmerman - Director of Community Ministry
Kara has been on staff at CPC since November 2007. She has been worked at Evangelical Child and Family Agency as a psychotherapist and the Supervisor of ECFA Counseling Centers for over ten years. Kara leads our Alpha ministry and serves with small groups, older adults, worship, retreats/missions, visitation, and will be the staff liaison for deacons, shepherds and Stephen Ministers.

Kerry Babel - Director of Youth
Kerry came to CPC as youth director in June of 2005 after spending a year at home with her daughter. Before working with youth in ministry Kerry taught 1st through 4th grade Reading Resource in Downers Grove for 5 years. Kerry and her husband just added to their family through the arrival of their son in January. Kerry supports the call to mission work and has gone on several work trips to Central America as well as Kentucky.

Philip Roberts - Director of Choirs
Philip has over 30 years of choral and handbell conducting experience in many Protestant traditions. He holds a music degree from Elmhurst College where he majored in voice and minored in theology. Philip is a published composer with several different publishers. He is a music editor for GIA Publications, Inc. and music director for Chicago Bronze, a professional handbell ensemble. Philip also serves on the National Board of the American Build of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR).

Melody Mathieu - Administrative Assistant
Melody has worked in the secretarial field for over 20 years. She worked for 17 years as an administrative assistant to the President of a large travel company in Oak Brook. At the birth of her 3rd child, Melody decided to stay home. After several years, Melody started working again on a part-time basis and as of December, 2006 is now back working full time at CPC. Melody is married with 3 children and lives in Glen Ellyn. Melody was a member of CPC in the early 90’s while living in Lombard but transferred to First Presbyterian Church after moving to Glen Ellyn. Presently at First Pres, Melody is helping teach a dance elective in the elementary youth group called Spark. Dances are presented in worship several times a year.

Dick Myers - Organist
Dick has been a church organist for many years, having played his first service at age 13. During the ‘70s and ‘80s, he served as organist at CPC before retiring to Florida during the winter months. A retired teacher, Dick taught at York & Willowbrook, served as English and Department Chairman at Addison Trail High School for many years. He was also a Fulbright Exchange Teacher to Woodside School in Glasgow, Scotland during the ‘60s.

Betsy Bell - Wedding Coordinator & Custodian
Betsy started working here evenings after her 4th child was born to be with her children while they were growing up. Her children are now grown, and she still enjoys this work, and enjoys helping coordinate weddings.
