Listen to today's daily devotion on this video.

“ . . . those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

Today we wait. In silence and in grief weighed down. The hours drag as we look for the dawn of our salvation. Yet, we know: strength will come again, our hope in the Lord will soar, and we shall run to the tomb and never tire of singing the praises of our God. For Jesus shall rise. The key to the Kingdom has turned. The gate of Paradise is opening as the stone is about to be rolled back. Our God in Jesus in on the move, His death behind, our forever Home ahead. We sing, “The Strife is Over, the Battle Won,” and simply wait for the hour to come when the trumpet will sound and earth’s souls shout, “He is risen! He is risen indeed!”

Let us pray with our CPC sisters and brothers….

All praise and thanksgiving to You, of God, that You would send Your one and only Son to live and to die and to rise again to save us from death. We hover on the cusp of our salvation day of celebration, trusting in the Light that is well on its way to us. Let us wait upon Your Son, our Lord, in joy and in delight: our salvation has come! Amen.
