VIRTUAL WORSHIP - GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 10
So that our church family may gather for worship together, each in our own homes, a worship time of 7 PM is suggested. For those who wish to follow the tradition of worshiping at noon on Good Friday, links to original videos have been scheduled to go live, or become operational, by noon.

Words fail us as we face the depth of sacrifice of Jesus. But the Word made flesh never fails us, His love buying our eternal life on the cruel beams of a wooden Cross. We recount His Passion by reading Scripture as we view scenes of His suffering, and as we sing our faith in hymns of grief and thanksgiving. And we will place ourselves in Golgotha as we hear, “Were You There?” sung by our own Mark Nelsen.
At the end of tonight’s service, words really do abandon us and we watch in silence as the symbolic Light of the World leaves our midst and the fulfillment of the Scriptures is marked with the slamming of the Bible in the darkness. We sit for a bit, bowed in sorrow.
And then we reclaim our voices as we sing, “Christ Be Our Light” as we proclaim that He never truly leaves. He returns always . . . from the grave and from the darkness, bringing the Light that never fails.
