In our worship, we are delighted to share with you, in online format, portions of the “LIVING WATERS” production which members and friends of CPC produced several years ago.

(Please know that video links will become live, or operational, at 5 pm, April 9.)

These folks enacted the love of Jesus in word and song, reflecting the love our entire CPC family enacts every day in serving God, His Church, and the larger community.

(As you are able, gather a bit of bread and juice to prepare for the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.)

The meaning of Maundy derives from the word, commandment, and refers to the command of Jesus to love one another as He loves us. Enacting His love for us on this holy night, Jesus knelt at the feet of His disciples and washed away dirt, symbolizing the cleansing forgiveness of His grace and mercy for us all. At the Table, Jesus showed His love for us in instituting the Sacrament of Holy Communion when, never leaving us bereft, He gave His very Body and Blood for us. And going to His betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus knelt in enacted humility before the Father in perfect obedience to His will.

We are also delighted to humbly offer the gift of celebrating Holy Communion together. While we often say we worship remotely, there is nothing remote about the Presence of Jesus. He comes. He sits at Table with us. He provides and is the Meal, His Body and Blood nourishing and sustaining us. More than ever we are hungry for His Presence. More than ever, we are joined together as one, united to Christ in this precious Sacrament.

We celebrate this most holy of all weeks, entering the Triduum (three days), when we remember and prayerfully ponder the Passion of Jesus, beginning on the night of Maundy Thursday, confronting His crucifixion on Good Friday, and vigil-keeping on Saturday; anticipating the glorious Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Here is an outline of worship opportunities that will be offered each day so that we, as the family of God, may gather our hearts and minds in recalling the events that led to our salvation through Jesus the Christ.
