One Great Hour of Sharing

Collected on Palm Sunday & Easter Sunday | Apr. 2 & 9, 2023
The One Great Hour of Sharing supports efforts to relieve hunger, promote development, and assist in areas of disaster by supporting three programs:
  • Self-Development of People (SDOP) enters into partnerships with community groups of low-income people that want to change their lives and communities.
  • Presbyterian Hunger Program (PHP) seeks to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes. They approach hunger holistically, using a variety of approaches, including direct food relief combined with root cause work, sustainable development, advocacy, intentional and sustainable living, and education.
  • Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) responds and works closely with congregations and local mission partners to bring Christ’s love and healing when natural or human-caused disasters impact communities.  PDA is the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Pentecost Offering

Collected on Pentecost Sunday | May 28, 2023
The Pentecost Offering unites us in a church-wide effort to support young people and inspire them to share their faith, ideas, and unique gifts with the church and the world.  The Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also address the needs of at-risk children.
  • 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations wanting to make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community.
  • 60% is used to support children-at-risk, youth, and young adults through ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency.

  • 25% of this offering goes to our mid council to join with other congregation gifts to support peacemaking work in our region.
